Adventurous, diligent, and overwhelmingly curious, Ollie joined Apogee after a 15-month stint of travelling around Australia in a campervan. He graduated from Durham University with a first-class degree in Natural Sciences. From there, he took the road less travelled. His natural compassion took him into domiciliary care, a job which he adored. After a year and a half, he decided to engage his passion for travel.

Ollie worked as a scientific writer in Australia, as well as many other jobs. He lived on an animal rescue farm for 8 months, working on other farms, helping neighbours construct decking, and working in construction retail. He put these skills to use when redesigning and rebuilding the van that he called home.

His interests are as broad as they are diverse. An avid lover of everything from skateboarding to snooker, birdwatching to beer, Ollie’s ability to find joy in the natural world, writing, and scientific enterprise is the cornerstone of his talent for R&D applications.
